Introduction

SWEVEN embraces a new, cloud based Saas platform approach to facilities management that enhances its clients’ bottom lines in ways that no other existing platforms can.

The Challenge

The core idea behind this project was to optimize the daily workday from the outset, providing users with a pipeline view that would allow them to monitor operations in real time. In addition, a dashboard view designed to generate fast and effective reports was developed, improving users’ ability to make informed decisions in the shortest possible time.

Sweven was also conceived to improve filtering tools, allowing users to sort work orders by Client, Project, and other key criteria. This functionality was critical to facilitate navigation and handling of large volumes of information, ensuring that users could quickly access the most relevant data.

Common challenges include:

  • Optimize Daily Task Management: Create an intuitive interface that allows users to view and manage their work orders from the start of the day, improving operational efficiency through a clear and structured pipeline view.

  • Improve User Personalization: Implement customization options that allow users to adapt the platform to their specific roles or preferences, such as choosing between different views (pipeline or dashboard) to manage tasks and projects.

  • Facilitate Quick Access to Key Information: Develop powerful filtering tools and shortcuts so that users can quickly sort and access work orders by relevant criteria such as Client, Project, Status, among others.

  • Increase Decision-Making Efficiency: Provide a dashboard view that allows for quick reports and visualizations that highlight overall progress, priority tasks, pending and overdue work, helping users make informed decisions more quickly.

The Solution

Sweven transforms facility and asset management with an intuitive interface, real-time geolocation, mobile optimization and a cloud-based SaaS platform, enabling efficient administration from anywhere.

Sweven's key features include:

  • Improved Usability with a User-Friendly and Intuitive Interface: The user interface was redesigned to make it more accessible and easy to use, allowing users to navigate the platform intuitively, regardless of their level of technical experience.

  • Integration of Geolocation Features: Geolocation was implemented in work orders, allowing users to view the exact location of each task on a map. This facilitates the management of multiple sites and the efficient allocation of resources in real time.

  • Optimization for Mobile Applications: They ensured that all the platform's functionalities were fully integrated and optimized for use on mobile devices, allowing users to manage facilities and assets from anywhere and at any time.

  • Implementation of a Cloud-Based SaaS Platform: An innovative approach was taken in distributing work through a cloud-based SaaS platform, which not only improves the ability to manage facilities and assets, but also transforms the way companies can manage multiple locations remotely and efficiently.

The Results

The web platform optimized facility management with an intuitive interface, real-time geolocation and efficient remote administration.

  • Intuitive and easy-to-use interface: Redesign of the platform that facilitates navigation, allowing users to manage tasks easily, regardless of their technical experience.

  • Real-time geolocation: Implementation of interactive maps that allow viewing the exact location of work orders, optimizing resource allocation.

  • Complete mobile optimization: The platform is now fully functional on mobile devices, allowing users to manage facilities from anywhere.

  • Efficient SaaS platform: Development of a cloud solution that improves remote management of multiple locations, transforming facility and asset management.

Conclusion

As a designer, this project presented numerous challenges that pushed me out of my comfort zone. At the start, I didn’t have a deep understanding of the market or the cloud technology used by Sweven, which made the design process a constant learning curve. Furthermore, the lack of clear requirements at the beginning of the project added an additional level of complexity, as multiple approaches had to be explored and several versions developed before arriving at the final result.

However, despite these difficulties, this project turned out to be a deeply enriching experience. I am proud of the outcome, as we not only managed to create an effective solution, but I was also able to help the client define a clearer starting point for the future. This project is a testament to the importance of iteration and collaboration in design, and how facing challenges can lead to results that exceed initial expectations.
